What Makes Kenyon College the Perfect Place for Our Camp?
1. The ideal setting for learning. The founder of Kenyon College believed that an isolated, rural setting would enhance students' educational experience. For one week our campers experience living in a community that is geared toward removing all distractions and focused on their improvement as debaters.
2. Small college campus with everything in easy walking distance. Kenyon is located in Gambier, the ultimate college village. The College is united by the legendary Middle Path which runs a mile down the center of campus and through a small picturesque downtown which includes a bookstore, a deli, and a coffee shop. Campers are able to walk to all facilities in a matter of minutes. They also have daily access to the Kenyon Athletic Center, one of the best small college sports facilities in the nation.
3. Great, locally grown food. Our campers enjoy tasty, healthy meals prepared by Kenyon's dining services and served in its beautiful Peirce Dining Hall. The meals are of the highest quality because 40 percent of the food is grown by local farmers and the menu features the freshest in-season produce.
4. Central location. Gambier is located in Knox County in the middle of Ohio. Kenyon's campus is easily reached from the interstate and other major routes. Visitors enjoy the scenic drive through the Ohio countryside.
